  Each city leaderboard pulls the top gyms from Google Places using a "top gyms in {city}" text search biased to the city centroid, keeps the top 10 results, then sorts by Google star rating (descending) with total review count as the tie-break. This hub aggregates the 50 boards we track for gyms. The full dataset is published as open data (CC-BY-4.0) at biglove.to/hyperlocal-summary.json.

  Across the 50 cities on this page, the median review count of a board's #10 spot is 283 reviews. The spread is wide: Phoenix is the steepest board (2,203 reviews just to enter) while Las Vegas is the gentlest (52).
