Each city leaderboard pulls the top restaurants from Google Places using a "top restaurants in {city}" text search biased to the city centroid, keeps the top 10 results, then sorts by Google star rating (descending) with total review count as the tie-break. This hub aggregates the 50 boards we track for restaurants. The full dataset is published as open data (CC-BY-4.0) at biglove.to/hyperlocal-summary.json.

The spread is wide: Quebec City is the steepest board (9,464 reviews just to enter) while Auckland is the gentlest (145).
